Is there a way to test a program while in Sesame Runtime?
You do not have to be in Sesame Designer to test a new program you have in mind. In Runtime, you can use the Mass Update feature to test many kinds of programs. Retrieve a single record using the form you are planning to program, type or paste your program into the Mass Update Program Editor, test it, then run it against the one record. This way, you can see how it works before redesigning the form. Be sure not to irrevocably alter any important data during the test drive. Printing a copy of the test record (showing its data before the test) is always a good idea. See the Mass Update section of the Sesame User Guide for more information.
