Trial Version and Keyboard problem ?

I couldn't wait until the delivery of our Sesame order so I downloaded the trial version.
Following the S Quick Start Tutorial we tried to create the very same database as in the tutorial. Unfortunately nothing seemed to be the same as in the tutorial !
Creating a new field by entering Name followed by a colon (:) did not result in the example showed but in stead resulted in a plain text field   "Name: "
After saving the field could not be edited in Add mode. The same with Phone No and Notes where Notes became Notes<
It turned out that Sesame is not recognizing our (Belgian) keyboard layout !  Is this a trail issue or not ? Since we cannot change our keyboard layout this is vital for using the software at all.

Some international keyboard layouts do have problems with some of the key mappings. We are looking into this. In the meantime, the Designer is still quite usable. You can't create an element by typing a colon, but you can still use the Layout Element Adder to add elements to your Form.

This is not to do with the Trial version.  It is an international keyboard issue. We will investigate.
But in the meantime ...

You CAN change your keyboard. In Windows you can set up two keyboards and switch between them with a couple of mouse clicks on an icon in your system tray. I do this to switch between a UK keyboard and a US keyboard.

However - the main thing is that this does NOT stop you creating forms, not at all. This method of adding Layout Elements/Fields is a Q&A-compatible shortcut.  The standard way to add them is to use the Layout Element Adder.  In fact, you must use the LEA if you want to add other than a text field, or to add an element bound to an pre-existing field. By ignoring the   :  method you are simply giving up a minor extra convenience.

Remember to click in the form before adding the new element with the LEA, otherwise the new element will appear at the extreme top-left corner of the form.
