Cursor position in fields is inconsistent.

When reediting data on a record, pressing Tab key to go to next field, cursor ends up in middle of field.  Ends up in same postion as last field length/position, or at last character if shorter, of field just exited?.  Can vary from field to field based on lenth and position in previous field.

Expect cursor to always be at beginning or end of data in field.  Or highlighted as selected text?  (Access has options for user to define desired action).  But never expect to find cursor in middle of field.

We try to assume as little as we cannot about your intent. We try to keep the cursor as close as possible to where you left it. We try not to decide for you that you *should* or *shouldn't* have hit the home or end keys.

It is also very consistent based on how you move between fields. Enter will take you to the beginning. Arrow keys will attempt to leave you at cursor position (if the field allows it). The "right justifying" layout elements force you to start of field in order to adjust the layout for editing.
