Disappearing Form

This has happened twice to me.  The first time I thought I goofed but this time, I don't understand.

I first copied a form under "Manage layout"

Then I started redesigning it.  I know for a fact that I saved my layout twice during the 90 minutes I worked on it. (Save Layout Design)

I wanted to preview the form.  (So the last time I exited I may not have saved, but it should have my last save.)

I clicked on preview application; the form is white (blank)
The original one I copied had a blue background.

Could you describe the steps you are using to save and view in detail?

When you run the application are all your databases on the command tree and all accessible.

Sometimes when we look really hard  at a problem we miss the simple things.

I recently had another user from the board e-mail me there database because they had a similar problem. It turned out that he was not opening and accessing the form he modified. He did not realize he had more then one form and it turned out he added that one by mistake and he never looked any further to see the correct form a branch down.

Now I have started over.  I redesigned just a few elements.  Saved.  Exit Design  I left background.

Then I returned to redesign....and the background is blue...but all my elements are gone.

Under the "commands"  I save by clicking "Saving Layout Design"; then I click "Exit Design"

Then in the "Tree" I have 1 database called "Sojourns"
under redesign/customize a form; I click on my newly redesigned form.

Just for testing purpose could you open one of the sample databases
Redesign a form
Save layout
Close design tab
Preview application

And see if the changes you made are there.

I'm way ahead of you.  After it happened a second time, I decided to do just that.

No problem.  It worked fine.

I went back into the sojourns.db

Repeated for the 3rd time.  I have made a few changes and saved.  Repeated a few times and it appears to work now.  But I have no confidence I won't lose it again.
