I have been trying to tackle the Merge Print Database Records on-the-fly.  I have followed the steps in creating a windword.bat file and configured Sesame application Merge Print. Lastly, entered the program in Program Editor under element Merge Print

In Sesame *.db I am having a problem with creating a data source file *.txt

1.) I go to a database called esmibids1.db
2.) go to Search/Update and retreive all records
3.) In Export Spec panel  -Set All- then click Run
4.) try to save the Ascii Export filename as
    c:\sesame\docs\esmibids1.txt
5.) When I click on Accept. a hour glass just shows. It does not execute the save. the hour glass stays on
I did a CTL-ALT-DEL to check if program is running.
It says not- responding
6.) I am forced to exit without properly closing. It then locks mydatabase
7.) I used the admin/hello under administrator to unlock.

I then tried 1-5 with only a few fields (ie. Company name,address etc.) It then allows me to save it.
But, I need all of the elements to create my word merge documents

I am not sure why this keeps not responding when I go to accept.

Can anyone shed some light on this one???  ???

Ok I went through and selected only the absolute elements I needed and was able to save it to. Not sure what element is causing this. Will revisit. after I design my first word merge doc.

c:\sesame\docs\esmibids1.txt

Other Problem:

When I Run Merge Print from *.db it It does not execute Microsoft word. Using Word XP v 6.0

I checked my path and wrote the following batch file

c:\
cd\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10 winword.exe %1 Exit

I have tried a number of variations and for some reason can not get word to run on Merge Print.

I think I must be setting the batch file incorrectly
