good day,

how do I go about shutting down a Sesame Server from the server without doing an emergency shutdown? I know I can do this from the Server Admin. Interface from a Sesame client, but how can i do this from the server(as I do not have a Servers tab in the Admin interface)?

thanx

Start up a Sesame client on the server which is attached to the Sesame server and use its Admin interface to shut down the Sesame server.

Sesame Server is meant to be shut down from a client, even though there is the emergency shut down button on the server, it is still better to shut down the server from the client, for data integrity reasons and other important reasons.

If you do not have the servers tab in the admin interface you may not actually be connected to the server at all. You may be running stand-alone, in which case close Sesame and connect it to the server, then go into the Admin interface and shut down the server
