Using and Inserting Accents

1. I'm having a problem inserting accents. Example, in tool tips when I use the alt+whatever to get the accent letter, it kicks me out by closing the  design menu.

In add data or update it closes the windows.

Accents are very needed especially in Spanish speaking countries. Please help.

2. I would like to say that my application is coming along and I would like to thank the many Lanticans' that have written and especially those who have provided answers. I have used many solutions provided.  Grin

Can you give us specific examples of key combinations that are causing you trouble please Jose.
Are you using a US Keyboard layout in Windows control panel?

To create accents, you will want to use the "dead key". On US keyboards this is F12.

The sequence:

F12 ' a

will produce an "a" with an accent above it. Note that these are pressed in sequence, you don't hold down two keys at once.

On non-US keyboards the F12 key may be substituted using the "dead-key".

Thank you for answering so quickly. Yes I have a standard US keyboard layout. I have tried the combination and it works fine for certain letters, like
áéíóú. But can you help to get the following accents:

¿ ¡ (These are inverted ? and !) and    ñ Ñ.
