Image Box- How to set image permanently? (Read 889 times)

	Hello Lanticians, members, I created a new database .dsr I created a new element- Image box . For my company's logo I have the logo imaged stored at C:\sesame\Pics\esmi sign.jpg I select an image c:\sesame\pics\esmi sign.jpg. then saved design When I go to Preview Application. Add Records Tab onto Image box. then press space bar. window comes up to slelect image. It places it in Image box nicely. I then saved design saved as a new .db When I go to add new record the image does not appear. Q- How do you set image permanently, so image (logo) stays in the box all the time. It would be too time consuming to search an image everytime you want it to appear in image box. It currently just shows a blank gray box. everytime you search/update for Add data modes. I checked on sample database gem types. When you do a search; the images change automatically and image always appears. I was trying to study how this is done. but, can seem to figure this out. What am I doing wrong here? Regards, Dave Costanzo

	Instead of using an image box, you want to use a Static Picture. Static Pictures are set once in the designer and are not changed by data entry. Set the "label" of the Static Picture to the full path of the image file you want to use.

	The Image Box will not show an image permenantly. This field is just like the other data fields on the form. Static Picture is the only answer to this issue. Mathew Verghese

	See my comments in the Topic: General Questions on Designer about using Static Elements. Also, do a Search on Static to find other messages that might be relevent. Be sure to set the "Max # of Days since last post" (or whatever the field is) to a something like 60, to go back and get most of the messages.
