i've tried using FormResultSetTotal, only problem is I need this code to run everytime a subrecord is updated or added.

Since this code exists in the Main form, a change in the subrecord won't be detected. Can a main form check whether it's subform records have changed?

Theoretically Subform itself is within the element of the main form and it is bound to a (other) form.  I was surprized to see it is not listed as one of the elements of main form  in the program editor.  (I am viewing Countries.db and that has cities as subform. )
