Normally in Ordinary form, one cannot enter in Read-only element or change the value, but not so, in the Tableview Subform read-only element. Is it by plan or does it need fixing?

Bharat,
From just a quick look, it looks like it does allow you to enter and type in the readonly LE in a tableview subform - but it doesn't seem to retain the changed value - instead restoring it to the original value when you leave the LE. Is that what you are seeing (I am testing using 1.0.2)?

Mark,
Yes, that is the way it also does in version 1.0.1.  One more point.  Even if you make the element invisible, it still shows up in tableview subform.
