PDF Help Documents

I was hoping that one of the benefits of having the programming examples in electronic form, would be that we could cut and paste them into our applications.

Why is the "Content Copying or Extraction:" property set to "Not Allowed" in the PDF help documents?

Was this on-purpose, or was it just the default setting and overlooked?  If it was an oversight, can you post new versions that allow copying?

Simply a clarification: the "help" documents are not .pdfs - they are HTML and can be cut & pasted. The .pdfs are the actual user manuals in electronic form.

I stand corrected. Tongue

It's the Sesame Programming Guide PDF document that contains the samples I want to copy and paste.

But you are right about the .pdfs (the manuals). They do not allow cut and paste.

Mark, any idea if they can be made available in a version that allows copying?

Sorry, not my province. Send an email to customer_service@lantica.com, or call (800) 410-6315.

Have you considered scanning and saving as OCR into Word or some other place ? You could then cut and paste. I did this and it appears to be OK. I didn't try to use in programming and it may be trouble than keyboarding the statements.
