redesigning form keeps closing designer

I'm using the trial version of your software and have created two forms.  When I open the designer and go into redesign form and click anywhere except directly on a field , designer closes.  I have a second form that I have one field on and it doesn't have this problem.  I downloaded the trial s/w a few days ago so it should be the latest.

Hmmmm, this is new... Smiley

Does it crash with an error, or does the whole SDesigner window just quietly go away? What operating system do you use?

Ive had the same problem with a converted Q&A Database.  The converted database worked fine for a while then all of a sudden while working in a form sDesigner would just disappear into neverland.  I am using Windows XP SP1.  I found that if I clicked on the layout while editing a form sDesigner would just disappear (if a clicked on a object, such as a text box, all was fine , but if I moved the object then SDesigner would disappear). 

At first I thought it was a strange bug (mabe video driver) on my Dell Notebook . . . so I designed a new database and forms from scratch. All worked fine (as per specifications anyway).

I called Sesame Tech Support (they were busy) and they called me back (Australia to) great service!!!  Smileybetween the very hepful tech guy and myself we firgured that it might be a corrupt database.

After designing the new database the problem has never resurfaced (AS YET!!!).

Thanks, Chris. We'll run it in the debugger and see what's going on. Are there any special steps to reproduce the problem?

OK, we've looked at both the example applications. We see what's wrong, but it would help us to fix it if we knew more about how it happened.

In both Forms, there are what look to be "leftover" Tab pages that are not visible because there is no Tab group. Did either or both of you add Tabs to your Form and then remove them? Could you describe what you did when working with Tabs? This information will be very helpful as we track down the problem.

Yes I reflection that is correct.  In my case I did add Tabs and was trying to add subforms to each tab but from memory I could not achive the desired result.  I think during this process sDesigner crashed.  It was after that I encounted the previously described problem.

Sorry not going to be much help here.  I might of placed a tab on the form then deleted it but am not sure.   

If I delete this form, is it safe for me to create another form or should I create a new file?
