Yes, you can change your default directory by editing Rootdirs.ini fie in C:\Sesame

You can also run without a rootdirs.ini file, in which case the current working directory is the default.

I am glad somebody raised this issue.  This could be a knowledge in Windows or DOS etc.  but if this is clarified here it will same time in getting into the folder where our Sesame data  base is.  Always when we open the data base it goes to C:/data.  What we want is that it should go to the folder we want.  How could this be done and a step by step explaining is expected from Bharat_Naik.  Thank you in advance.

Thank you all.  It is already done by changing the contents of rootdirs.ini.

Thank you,

Another way I found to do it for Sesame (not didn't try designer) is to create a shortcut to sesame and set the working directory to the directory you want.
