Exact method for transporting design/report update

<trying not to be cranky after a day of Sesame crashing and now the files are trashed>

.db
.dat

are the live data, right?

.dsr
.dtt

are the "for making changes to the design, reports, etc." files, right?

I allegedly can copy just the .dsr and the .dtt to a system, run a "reconcile" and we are set, right?

Why does this not work?  I get either a "cannot open" or it pretends to reconcile but then ignores all changes.

I want to be able to fine-tune the design (add initial values, fix restrictions, add reports) while the live data is being used at another location.  I would think this is possible.

You can copy the dsr and ddt to another system, reconcile the db on that system and you should see your changes.

You seem to be having a number of issues with multiple workstations and client-server type problems. You may want to contact Tech Support and get your client-server setup confirmed. You may not be set up as you believe yourself to be.
