Pruning the Tree

I have searched the forum and have seen plently of discussion re: Menu's v's the Command Tree etc.

Most comments(by Q&A fans) seems to stem from the fact that the Sesame Tree is most complex.

Is it possible to prune the tree and leave only the branches visbile that would be required for that particular application?

We have been told by the Lanticans some control to the tree might be available in future releases.
