Steve,

Before you go all out on the workarounds, we were surprised that simply setting Visibility to No doesn't work. We have code in there to automatically hide table view subform columns that are meant to be invisible. We didn't realize that something was interfering with it.

We're looking into it now, and 1.0.5, which will be available within a couple of weeks (earlier if you are coming to the Conference) may simply respect your Visibility setting and you won't have to mess with any of this other stuff.

Great. I want to keep my forms "clean" and streamlined so I'll see what you all come up with.

Bob, Thanks for the tips!

If you want to use the box on srollbars it should be noted, that this is cosmetic only, so far.  It does not stop from clicking in that area and making it appear.   But it can "hide" it.  I have not yet found a way to disable it.

You can do the same with a vertical bar to hide scroll bar on right, to help force people to use Up/Down arrows vs. mouse for navigation.

Another label/box can be put over the top edge of subform to provide your own Label, vs. the subform name that comes up.

Sounds like you've done a lot of experimenting with form layouts. Thanks for sharing.

Erika,

Do you think the visibility issue on subforms will be corrected in 1.0.5? If not, I need to make some changes to my forms.

Thanks,

Steve

Hello Steve,

Erika left for Baltimore this morning, as I will be doing shortly, but the visibility on table view subforms has been fixed in version 1.0.5.

Thanks Ray.

I wish I could join you all at the conference, but my work schedule is just too demanding.

Good luck!

Steve
