Export-Import moving from one DB to another

I have version 1.1.2 stand-alone.  I need to move old records from our "live" database to an archive.  Both DB are identical structure.  I am following the import/export instructions on page 280 of the manual.  This did not work in earlier versions (one of the fixes broke import/export?) - does it work now?  It isn't working for me.  Is this a known issue?  I seem to be able to export to a file, but when it imports that file, the records never show up.

There was a bug a while ago involving unbound elements at one point, which has since been taken care of. Import and Export should be working fine.

Does your exported file look correct?

What do you mean by "the records never show up"?
