Relationship prevents field deletion.

I am a bit stuck at the moment and would welcome any help.  I am trying to delete an unwanted second Database in an application.  When using the Field Manager I get the error:

Warning! Cannot delete Field. It is used in a relationship.

I have gone through the first Database but cannot find a relationship to this field.  Is there a way of listing any relationships in use? Thanks.

Is the database you are trying to delete used in a subform? Does it appear under another database on the menu tree?

The database was used as a subform twice at some time but I deleted them.  The database I am trying to delete is called kjhg which now appears twice, both of which will not die. Roll Eyes I just can't find a subform on the 'FrontPage' database now.

As for it's position in the tree:

Open the Field Manger for FrontPage and look for fields of type SUBRECORD. There should be two. Delete them both. You should then be able to delete the linked database.

Hammer, I have found it.  What I wasn't aware of is the fact that if I delete a field, it is not actually deleted permanently unless I take it out of the Field Manager. I found the two fields still listed in the Field Manager for the FrontPage database, once I knocked them out I could delete the kjhg all together.

I think it may help if I look at the screen a little more intensely.  8)

Since you can have multiple forms in Sesame, deleting an element from a form does not automatically delete the underlying field/information displayed in that element. You may be using that info elsewhere on other Forms or Reports.

The only place to permanently delete a field is in Field Manager.
