Steve- I placed the Command Button with your program but it does just what F10 does.
It still fires the On Entry programming and it won´t let me get out unless I save the record.

I programmed:
FormCommit("")
in a Command Button and it does the job perfectly.
(It saves the record and lets me exit Search Update).
