Delete Report Element Name

Hi -

I know how to delete and change layout element names in a database, but where/how do I do it in a report?

I added an element named "F" to my report - had made a mistake and deleted it.  Now when I try to create a new element named "F" Sesame changes it to F0 (which I do not want).

How can I get rid of the "F" element so that I can add a new element called "F."

My mind is so befuddled at the moment, I hope I made this clear.

Thanks!

I believe I had to save the design after deleting the element, reconcile, then make a new dsr.

You've deleted the element, but actually sesame thinks it there until you save the design, and then make a new dsr.

Hi -

I've never had to create a new DSR before and am hoping there's an easier way.

I'll hope to hear something more definitive and if there's no other way, I guess I'll have to try that or live with "unwanted" names.

Thanks!

Spencer,

Save your report with the "F" element deleted. After that you can add a new element named "F".

Ray -

Ahhhh!  Now that's the "easy" solution I was looking for.

I just tried it and it worked like a charm.  Thanks Ray!
