Exporting a Copy Spec

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to export a copy spec from one version of an application and then import it into another version.

Thank You-

Hi Matt,

As far as I know this is not possible in the current version of Sesame.

Ray,
Is that because we would need to have a copy copy spec spec?

Will this work?

copy the application(A) that has the Copy Spec to another name, application(B).

Now open application(B) and remove everything but the necessary components for the Copy Spec.  Save application(B).

Now merge Application(B) into Application(C) that needs the Copy Spec. Open Application(C) and rename the components as needed..

Subsequent edit
NO, this will not work.  See following reply from Ray who explains why not.

Bob,

Copy Specs are attached to the database themselves. Merging in a copy of the same database is not going to merge it into the database that exists already, it is going to create another database in the same application. Assuming you renamed the forms, reports, and database otherwise it will not merge and will return an error.

Thanks for answering "Will this work?".  I will edit my previous question to prevent misleading anyone.
