Failure while reconciling

I wanted to try an experiment with my database (change a text field to a boolean) but I didn't want to mess up my database permanently if things went caca.  So I made a copy of the .db and .dat and tried to reconcile my .dsr to that.

Got the following error message:

Quote:
Failure while reconciling application: C:\Sesame\DataHold\Customer.db. Application is already being served.

I only have Designer running, and this is the only .dsr open.

Any idea what this means, and what the best way is to do what I'm trying to do?

Did you copy your DB and DAT files while the DB was open and loaded by Sesame?

If so the files are locked and will need to be unlocked.

To unlock a locked application follow these steps

Click File
Click Server Administration
Log in (username: admin    password: hello)
On the unlock application tab double click on your application
