Can Sesame read scanned bar codes or does it need to work with another program to get the information?

You will need other software driver to read bar codes.  Usually comes with the scanner. 

Sesame can print out bar codes if you have the correct fonts installed.

Typically the bar code scanner (with its driver) acts as though the user were typing the respresented information on the keyboard. Should work with any program that accepts keyboard input (including Sesame).
