Forms or Subforms?

As with Q&A Windows, Im sure you are aware that from a MasterForm, you can click the down arrow on the tool bar and get to another form such as an invoice, where all of the Master information shows automatically.  I cannot figure out how to do this in Sesame and need some insight or advice.  Can you please tell me how to do this? or at minimum, tell me where the instructions are to do it?  I assume its a SubFrom but I cant get prefilled duplicate elements onto the subform.  In all reality, I would prefer to use an "Invoice" button, which I have created, but am unable to figure out how to make them work.

Is this Joe?

If it is then I just replied to the e-mail that you sent Support.

Attached to the e-mail is a sample application that shows how to do this. If you need more help or need it explained just let me know.

What you do is you add another form to that database and add elements to the new form but bind them to the existing fields in your database.

Hi Ray
This sounds interesting and may help in a situation I haven't addressed yet. I have an invoice database with a header and a subform for line items. I will need to export to a file which will contain the invoice header information for each line item to be exported as well as the line item info. Looking for the best approach to this problem. Any suggestions ?

Thanke - Harley

Hi Harley,

Are you looking for an export like this

"Information From Parent #1", "Information From Child #1"
"Information From Parent #1", "Information From Child #2"
"Information From Parent #1", "Information From Child #3"
"Information From Parent #2", "Information From Child #1"
etc..etc..

If so, that is how Sesame exports parent and child records. If you need help with it just send me an e-mail.
