I just made a large multiline box (2" tall x 5" across) into ReadOnly, RoundBox and I can see that the text in the top lines is bleeding outside the round corners as if the rectangular box was still the choice.

Any chance this will be corrected?

Any chance it will be corrected? No, probably not. But it is easy to work around. Make your rounded box a static. Then put a smaller rectangular-boxed text box inside it, using the same background color.
