I have a locked record... this happens from time to time...  and I understand that it will lock if the database is in the same record its trying to look up...BUT this isnt the case.  nobody is on the system but me now and I cannot unlock the record.. is there a keystroke that will unlock it.. I have read in previous forum notes that I need to restart the server but this to me is hogwash.. I have a crew of 6 people on it and I can continually ask them to get off the system...  i just want to know how to unlock a single record when NOBODY is on that record.. i have checked myself... please help

When a record is locked and another client lands on that record, that client will display a message on the status line (bottom left of the window) that indicates who has the record locked. It reads something like:

paraphrashing:
"This form is currently locked by another user on machine_name"

Where machine_name is the name of the computer on your network of the user that has that record locked.

When you see these locked records, what does that status line say?
