Printing older version files

Should there be a reason I cannot print from a file created on version 1.1.2 at work when I launch it on 1.1.3 at home? I get an error message saying that there is not a program associated with the function (printing) and that I should associate it with one in the "folder options". I've checked the folder options and the .db files are associated with Sesame. The ONLY db I can't print from is the one I just created at work.

And the beat goes on....

Thanks,
Fred

Hello Fred,

What are you printing? A Report, a Form, a PrintString Document, a Merge Docuement, etc.

Additonal info - I can select the preview mode from the tree which generates the preview and allows me to print that way. Manually selecting the "print immediate" option from the tree returns the same error message as my programming statement for the command button.

Hello Fred,

1. Start Windows Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3. Click the File Types tab.
4. In the Registered file types box, click the HTM extension, and then click Advanced.
Do you see a Print option? If you do then, In the Actions box, click Print, and then click Edit.
Copy that value and paste it into a reply.

If you do not see that option let me know.

Also what operating system are you running at home?

Hi Ray,
I do not see a print option. I have: Change Icon; New; Edit; Remove and Set Default,

  I am running XP Home.

Hello Fred,

Under Action is there no Print Option listed?

If not Click New
In Action type "print" without the quotes
In Application used to perform action: enter the following line with the quotes in it
rundll32.exe c:\windows\system32\mshtml.dll,PrintHTML "%1"
Click Ok
Click Ok
Click Ok
Restart Sesame and you should be able to print a report. May have to restart the computer as well.

Thank you Ray, that did the trick.

Just seems funny to me that the only database I couldn't print from is the one from work. All of my others printed out without any problems.

Regards,
Fred

Hello Fred,

That missing File association would affect any HTM file that you tried to print. So it would affect even the reports in the sample applications in the samples folder. It would only affect the reports. Print Form and others would still print right, but no reports would print immediately.
