In the program editor, the boxes that shows which elements and events are being programmed...is it possible to make these a bit wider?

Also, is there any way to sort the element names in the drop down list?

Which one would you like to be wider? The first one that just has the Element Name, the second one that has the Event Name, or the third one that has "Element Name :: Event Name"?

2.0 has a scrollable, sorted list of elements, which also has type to move. For example: If you just type an "S" it will take you to "Shipper", but if you type "St" it will take you to "State".

I would like Element Name to definitely be wider.  I have a large number of elements whose names all start with a common identifier (for example "VEHICLE_CODE_1_RATE", "VEHICLE_CODE_2_RATE", and so on).  For elements such as these, while working on the programming, all that shows in the box is "VEHICLE_CODE".  It can be confusing, especially if I should click on the drop-down and accidentally scroll to some other element (that scroll is slippery).

The Event name only needs to be a little bit wider to showcase the longest event, "On Element Immediate Change".  I'm curious as to why its width was chosen as it is.

The last, the combo, seems comfortably sized as is.

That sounds super, where can I buy it?  Wink

I will see what can be done about giving that one some more space in the 2.0 Editor. In the mean time if you find yourself wondering what element and event you are in you can always add a comment to the beginning of the programming with that information.

Since none of the events are the same, up to the point that they can not be distinguished when the drop down is closed, the event box was made the same size as the element box. and the third box was made the size of both of them added together. When the program editor was first designed it was designed to be usable on a 640 by 480 screen, which is why the widths are what they are.

Thanks!

One other, unrelated question (still in the general topic of "cosmetics"):

I notice that when I merge databases into my larger application, the list of forms follows the order of merging.  For instance, in my application Miara.db I started with a Customer database.  Then, over the course of time, I merged Tarriff, Workorder, and Equipment into the app.  So when I open the application the list of forms reads, from top to bottom:
Customer
Tarriff
Workorder
Lookup Table (Workorder had one)
Equipment

Is there a way to change this sequence?  I looked at Application Properties but did not see anything that seemed to relate.

There is no easy way to change that sequence.

Hello,

You can make a copy of your DB file for each database that is in there. Then open each of those copies and trim out all but one database. So each database is in a seperate DB file. Then merge them together in the order you want them to appear on the menu tree.

Actually the reason, I seem to remember, is this: The dropdown was made wide enough for the longest event. That was "On FIELD Immediate Change". When we standardised on "Element" the width was not adjusted.
