SubForm - @MSGBOX

Is it possible to invoke an @MSGBOX from a subform and have it show up on the main form (or at all?)? And how about WriteLn? I've played around with this a little bit and have not been successful. I just need a "yes-no", not a "how-to" AT THIS POINT IN TIME. I'm learning a lot by exploring.

Used to think I was pretty savy in Q&A4-DOS, in hindsight, now I wonder.... Shocked

It will show up where your window manager wants to put it, which on some systems is based on preferences set by the user for popup behavior. Under MSWindows, this behavior is usually "cascading".

Does it have to be a message box?

How about an invisible box that becomes visible, with colors if you want, for n seconds, then goes invisible again?  And you can determine what the X/Y and size dimensions are, so you can control where it will be placed.

Now there's an idea - I'll do some playing around with it. Thanks!

NICEBERG,

Bobs method works well but so do @MSGBOX and WriteLn.

I have had no problems using them from subforms! Smiley

Keep us posted on your solution.

Hmm - that's interesting, I've had no luck at all with either. Maybe it's showing up beneath my form and I just didn't realize it. I won't get to play with this until Friday at work (I'm off during the week and I've no time this week to "play"  Sad )
