User Manual is just a little light on how to use the -splash switch.

Does the image file need to be in a specific directory

or

do you specify a fully qualified path and file name.

If you specify a fully qualified path, it will be used.

If you specify a relative path, it is relative to the current working directory. If starting Sesame from a shortcut, the current working directory is the directory specified in the Start In property of the shortcut.
