Database fails to open

Hi there,
when I try to open my database I get the message:"Database ....... faild to open. Error: failure while loading application: ...."
Restarting the server did not help and even unlocking the application has no effect. It loads 97% and then fails. The application is password protected but I do not get the prompt to login. I can also not load the application into the designer.
What can I do to save my data?

Carsten

Hello Carsten,

Send all four files(DB, DAT, DSR, and DDT), preferably zipped, to support@lantica.com. Put in the subject "Attn: Raymond - Files from Carsten". In the e-mail include a valid Username and Password for the application.

Also in the C:\Sesame directory you will find a file named s_log0000.log, Attach that file to the e-mail as well. If you are Client/Server I will need the log file off the computer running Sesame Server and the log file off the computer that you are using, if it is not the same computer.

All working fine again!!   Cheesy

Thanks a lot!

Could I have solved the problem myself?

No. A two line error message on load, like the one you were getting, can currently only be fixed by Technical Support or by reverting to a backup.
