Here's what's in the February 2007 INSIDE SESAME
The Monthly How-to Guide for Sesame Users

-------------------------------------------------
Simplify Subform Navigation -- Navigating within subforms is hard for
many users to get comfortable with. Why not make it easier on them by
adding a custom "one-click" navigation bar? You can do it in 20 minutes.
Naming Things in Sesame -- People go to town creating databases, forms,
reports and so forth and wind up with all kinds of oddball names like
NewSesameApplication, NewForm2, NewDatabase1, NewReport0, Address0 and
so forth. Here's the definitive guide on how to appropriately name
things in Sesame as you create them.
Sort a String Array on Two Levels -- You've got a big block of records
retrieved by an @XLookupSourceListAll that need to be sorted first by
descending date and then by ascending name within each date group. How
do you handle that?
Design a 'Bank Statement' Report -- Two ways to print bank-like
statements that show, by date, each debit and credit on a customer's
account along with a running total. Sample application included in
this month's download file.
Short Subjects:
* Keep your new Sesame applications updated with information that's
still being entered in the old Q&A databases.
* Five handy tools for keeping your users on just the current year's records.
* How to optionally include your company's letterhead on reports.
* How to rename reports with names like NewReport, NewReport0, NewReport1
and so on.
* A really easy way to toggle your browser's headers and footers off
for Sesame report printing.
* You can specify only one record retrieval parameter with the
@XLookupSourceListAll command. What if you need two or more retrieval parameters?
* Undocumented math operators. Find out how +=, -=, *= and /= can
simplify your SBasic programming.
* Exporting formatted multi-line Q&A fields to Sesame. Want to retain
that formatting? Here's how.
* A trick you can use to simplify any programming that involves paths,
where your development and testing paths differ from the end-user's.
