If the picklist is extensive, it is really cumbersome to move within the picklist. I usually sort the list and if pressing "P" could jump to all the item starting with "P", it will be helpful. Sidebar will offer some relief. What else can we do in version 1.4.1  to alleviate this in terms of sbasic code?

Combo boxes have type-to scroll. I also wrote up a technique in Inside Sesame a while ago for prefiltering a long picklist.

Thanks Ericka. Did go through the article you mentioned and some more on picklist. I will use it to adopt to my requirements.  I need to have my assistant make several choices and and it should take them in the same element and format them properly. As for example, current medications:   The names of medications are kind of technical and choosing from picklist will help avoiding spelling mistakes.
