Order of displayed databases/forms - solution?

As I've gone along translating my Q&A databases, I've merged them into a single application.  I'm nearing completion and there's one thing that bugs me: the order that the databases are displayed on the menu tree.   I'd like to adjust this order so that the most-used are at the top of the list.

What I'm contemplating is the following:

My application contains 6 databases.  I will make 6 copies of the application, and then trim 5 databases out of each one, leaving only a single (different) database in each.  I'll then merge each one into a new application, hopefully sorting them in the order I want.

Will this work?  If I do this, what should I watch out for?  I assume I'll have to name each of the 6 copied applications with the name of the database contained within.  Is that correct?  And when I do the merge, should I start with the one I want at the top of the list and work down, or the one I want at the bottom and work up?  Will Sesame respect my merge sequence and put them in the order I want?

Hello Scott,

Yes that will work. You just need to name each of the 6 db files by different names and make sure you don't trim out the wrong databases by accident. Be sure to have a backup.

You will want to start by opening the application that contains the database you want to appear first on the list, then merge into it the application that contains the database you want to appear second on the list and so on.

Not sure if I'm reading you correctly.  I open #1 database first, then merge it into #2, then merge #2 into #3, and so on?

Or is it, open #1, then merge #2 into it, then merge #3 into it, and so on?  I think this is what you mean.

Open 1
Merge #2 into #1
Merge #3 into #1(which also contains #2)
Merge #4 into #1(which also contains #2 and #3)
....
