I think I found the problem and fixed it.  It turns out that, in programming code, an "/" by itself on a line does not equal "/*".  Yeesh.  I gotta watch that.

Anyhoo, after this morning disastrous adventure using #include files, I have gone back to a known working copy of my app and all is well.  Thanks Ray!
