SDesigner sees folders but Sesame does not.

Morning all,

We completely reloaded our W2K3 Server last weekend. All is going very well except for Sesame.

Installed Sesame v1.1.4 on the server and ran the upgrade to v1.1.5A.

Ran v1.1.5A (full version, not the upgrade) on a client PC.

We can contact the Sesame server from the client PC with either Sesame client or SDesigner.

However Sesame client only shows the hidden folders to a mapped drive on the server PC (Recycle Bin and S-nnnnn etc) but SDesigner correctly shows the folders we expect to see and NOT the hidden folders.
Can anyone shed any light why Sesame client and SDesigner, with the same Group Policy applied to both for permissions, are showing differing results ?

A mapped drive should not enter the equation if you are running Client/Server. Sesame does not require you to map hard drives in order to run client/server as it is a true Client/Server application.

Two things you will want to check.

One is the Start In: directory set on the Icon for the Sesame Server

The other is that both the icons for Sesame and Sdesigner on all computers have the -client switch in the target that tells them to connect to the Sesame Server. Start in should be C:\Sesame on the Client icons.
