[Solved] Table View not showing records
Oct 4th, 2007 at 11:09pm

Solution: Imported form was not relinked to existing fields. Many elements bound to non-existent fields. Solved by recreating and linking form.

I just downloaded the update 2.0.3 hoping it would fix this issue.

I have 2 forms that table view does not view the data at all. (different db)
But then others in the same file (but different db) view correctly.

Is this a known issue?

You'll need to be more specific. What do you mean by "does not view the data at all"?

I have two test records in the new database.  When I search for all records (f10) then click F6; the fields are blank.

However, when I do the exact same thing in some of the other forms they still work.  It's only 2 forms, I think that don't work.  But what is really odd, only 1 was created in the new Sesame.  The other one was created in version 1.

F6 opens the Field Editor, not Table View. Can you send this application into Support and tell us how to see what you are seeing?

Yes, I just had a senior moment...I know its Shift F6.

Yes, I can send the application; I'll include the steps & my screenshots.

Hello Judy, we are looking into this right now.
Is the form that is having this problem one that you were working on relinking?

I'm sorry; I don't understand the term: relinking

Oh, it is the form that I copied from another DB and pasted into a blank form to get started?

Yes....so I right clicked to select all the elements on another form.

Then I believe I moved to this new blank form; right clicked and duplicated.

Your files are on the way back to you now.

The issue that jyellis ran into may have been caused by elements that were bound to fields that did not exist in the current database. The problem was resolved by duplicating the elements to a new form in a new database. This appears to have fixed the issue.
