Subforms ?

In the begining... way back in 2004 (May)...long long time ago , I posted a question.  Roll Eyes
I have a family database.  I wanted to know if it was possibe to search for a family member and after finding the member, being able to show in a subform(s) that members kids, grand-kids, etc...
Is it possible to do that now with this new version? If so, can someone lead me in the direction of how it might be possible.  BTW, I'm still not a programer...just a CAD tech.
Thanks

The short answer is yes. When I have a little more time I'll explain it more.

1. Create a parent form with the parents Names, addresses, etc.

2.Create a kids Form with the fields  you want.

3.Create a grandkids form with  the fields you want.

4.Then go back to the parent form and add a subform, use natural linking, add the kids subform.

5. On the parent form add another subform, the grandkids, again use natural linking.

Thats it, as you learn more you can spice it up, but thats the basic layout.

I created a basic layout for this is anyone wants it.   Wink
