Application getting locked

One of my applications that is used for looking up data by xlookups, xlookupSourceList and xResultset commands always found to have been locked when I load my main application everyday. Once I unlock it, it functions fine till the next morning.  I like to work on Sesame Designer when ever I get time. Could that be interfering with while doing the testing and likewise.  As I understand you run designer always in standalone mode. Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

At the end of the day, how do you shut everything down for the evening?
Are you going into Server Administration from a client and shutting down the Sesame Server?

I shut down the server from a client, as you stated. It is only one application that has a problem. I open up atleast a dozen of them for lookup everyday.

Try running Sesame Designer as a client for a day or two and see if you run into the same problem.

Hi Ben,
How can you run Designer as Client? It only gives options of .db files and you cannot write anything manually in the box.

Thanks Mark. This would be very useful. I ran into trouble today. While working with Server and three clients, Sever was constantly dropping the clients and I had to stop using Sesame and going back to Q&A.  Later in the day, I realized that the problem was related to having Designer opened as standalone.  This might be also a problem causing locking up of  the subject application.  I will have to get one more user license but this should resolve the problem.  Once I closed Sdesigner, the server functioned pretty good. Thanks again.
