Opening Sesame additional files

I cannot open the files that are attached with Inside Sesame's monthly issues. For example in this month's (June2007) edition there is a file called Customers_validations. There is a  Customers_validations.dat file and a Customers_validations.db file. When I try and open the Customers_validations.db file in Sesame it sends the error message:

30892                                                                                                                    incorrect .dat file identifier from C:\Sesame\Downloads\IS0806LCQ\Customers_Validations.dat
   2008/05/31  02:58:12 PM   S_ENG 510150                                                                                                                    failure while loading application: C:\Sesame\Downloads\IS0806LCQ\Customers_Validations.db.

What must I do to open these files?

Contact Tom Marcellus at Inside Sesame.
That publication is separate from Lanatica.

I will be trying my own copy tomorrow, so can see if I have the same problem.

Try downloading the files again.
I just opened the files with no problem.

For reference, here are the file sizes:
The Zip file is 49,427
The db file is 60,160
The dat file is 142,586

Hmmm, looking inside the Zip file shows the db file to be 84,688 but unzipped file was 60,160

Which version of Sesame do you have?

If you have Version 1.X, then those are probably version 2.X files that you are trying to open.

Hi Ray,
Yes I do have version 1.14 and not the 2.06 version. I corresponded with you several times in the fall when I changed over to the 2.0x version of Sesame. You helped get my prime application converted over but it involved so much work that I did not want go through it again with 30+ applications I have accumulated over the years. My applications don't change that much and with all of your help over the years they run "pretty darn good", so a change to the newer version wasn't quite that necessary, yet.

Thanks,
Peter
