I am trying to find a way to select the first 50 line items from a sort of about 300 from which to generate a report.  There are no particular keys or other references that would dilineate these 50 items from the remaining 250 in the sort other than the fact that these 50 items are the greatest in vaule (in descending order).  I have perusued the user/programming docs and the user forum and haven't found anything that points in that direction...

Any and all help is always very much appreciated...

In that element at the retrieve spec enter

Max 50

When you hit F10, Sesame will retrieve the 50 records that have the highest values in that field.
