Navigate to another directory

Print Post Print Post
Hi:

I am a newbie and am just getting to know Sesame.

I would like to keep all my databases in a designated directory to be able to back up in a convenient way.

I find that when I open either Designer or Sesame, navigation is not possible.  Only the directory containing the program is available and I cannot navigate to another directory.

I am using Sesame 2.5 on a PC running Win XP Pro SP3

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

CRK

There is a file called "rootdirs.ini" that Sesame reads when it starts up that controls what directories can be navigated to.

Hello CRK,

Right click on your Sesame icon on your desktop
Choose Properties
Switch to the Shortcut tab
In the Start In: Box if it has "C:\Sesame2\Program" change that to "C:\Sesame2"

Hi:

Thanks to both of you.  Ray's solution worked just fine.
