[Fixed] color display thru terminal server

Fixed in version 2.5.1

Wondering if anyone knows why Sesame has problems with displaying color/images when running as a client through a terminal server/remote desktop connection.

I have configured my terminal server and remote desktop client to run at full color 32bit and i still have problems with sesame displaying the full colors.

On the main splash screen when you load Sesame client, the Sesame logo is purple & black. I get the same when the forms try to display static jpg images etc. This is only happening when running through a terminal session.

Is there a fix or workaround?

thanks

AJ

Yes. I know what is causing it and I fixed it. The fix will be in the next release of Sesame. It is caused by attempted to remain compatible with the color scheme required by very old graphics cards using a color map and dithering. The Microsoft remote desktop software does not take that scheme (that they used to require) into account when compressing the colors to be sent through the net. They assume the more modern color scheme (no color map). We have found that many more people are using remote access than are using such old cards and have adjusted accordingly.

No. I'm sorry - not really my area.

Contact Tech-support, you maybe able to get a hot patch, I know on a earlier release I got one. Worth asking.  Wink

We don't have a hot-fix version available with the color fix. Normally Hot-Fixes are only released when there is an issue in Sesame that affects Data integrity or Communication(client/server) integrity that can't wait until the official release.
