Web Capabilities question

I’m trying to get my web-feet wet with the Sesame Web Server Mini-Tutorial located in the Sesame user guide.  When I get to the part on page 453 that says “To see this page, start your web browser and set the URL to http://localhost/Site/index.html or http://MyServer/Site/index.html”  the server is immediately shut down.

Any help on this would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi tcgeo,

That's kinda what I figured. There's a problem in 2.5.1 with the -web_server switch if there isn't a password file. We've fixed it for the next version which should be out shortly.

If you have a copy of 2.5.0 you can run a second server with that version to get to know how web server works until the next release. If you need a copy of 2.5.0, send me an e-mail at support@lantica.com and I'll get a copy over to you.

Thanks Ray,

I've got a copy of 2.5.0, I'll give it a try.

Thanks again,

Brandon
