Word Merge Issue

I have created a WMLD document in which everything "merges" properly. However the dollar amount, which merges correctly,as far as the amount is concerned, is in an "unfielded" amount value. In my document all dollar values are listed in the following manner: 500.0000 instead of $500.00.
Is there any "field coding" involved such as in mergedata situations??

Thanks,
Peter

Hello Peter,
Formatting in Sesame only changes how the data is displayed on your form. When you export your data to an external application, you are exporting the raw data without the display formatting.  Below is a page that covers what you will need to do in Microsoft Word to add display formatting to your merge fields. You will need the section called 'Change other formatting by using field codes'.

Ben,
It took a little bit of looking back but I found the answer.......
In Sesame 2.0 the type for Money has been changed from 5 to 19. So the correction would be this:
The Sesame 2.0 documentation incorrectly lists 5 as the Money type when it should be 19.
