Assertion Failed!

Was in my Invoice database, clicked on "Exit Without Saving", got the usual "Are you sure?  All changes will be lost" popup, clicked OK, form closed, Sesame went gray screen, error message popped up:

Quote:
Assertion Failed!

Program: C:\Sesame\Program\Sesame.exe
File: hoardheap.h
Line: 358

Expression: b!=NULL

Retry failed, so I clicked Abort.  Sesame crashed.  Reopened the program, opened my Invoice form, retrieved the same invoice, clicked "Exit Without Saving", all went well.

Anything to worry about?

Hello Scott,

What version of Sesame are you running? I'm gonna take a guess and say it's an older version, as I don't think the file that is having the problem is used anymore in 2.5.2.

It's nothing for you to worry about. In general it's a memory error, usually it's either an error getting a piece of memory, or freeing(giving back) a piece of memory. Like I said in the earlier message 2.5.2 does not use that memory library, so that combined with several bug fixes, the problem may not exist in the latest version.
