Where does @UserID get its information?  I don't see any relevant line in the Sesame.ini file and the manuals don't say.  (I'm using Personal ver. 2.5.2.)

If I understand your question correctly; When you setup security on your ap, you will get a login box when you open the ap. The @userid() will then return the user login name.

I hope that's what your looking for.

I guess so.  The app doesn't have security.  I searched the Programming and User Manuals and although they mention @UserID they don't say what generates it.

The @UserID command returns the User ID that was used when logging into an application. You can add security to your Sesame application by using the Security Manager in Sesame Designer. Information about Security Manager can be found on page 437 of the 2.0 User Guide.

Other commands that make use of an application's security settings:
@Group (page 267 of the Programming Guide)
