Quick Report question

Client wants to know if there's a way to have Quick Report show just a total amount rather than Sum and Total amounts for the column they want a total for, just like it shows on page 388 in the User Guide?

Thanks for the help!

Hello,

A Quick Report will always show the values from the records it is being run on. To create a Totals Only report, you would need to use a full featured report built in Sesame Designer.

Hi Ray,

I just want to be sure that I asked the question correctly. What they are doing is selecting "summary calculation" for an LE when setting up the Quick Report. There are no breaks set. What they're seeing at the bottom of the report are two identical figures like this;

First Name Last Name Amount
Bob          Smith        100.00
Tom         Smith          50.00
                               150.00
                               150.00

I suppose that the first is a summary of the column and the second is the total. So, are you saying that the Quick Report will always show both the summary and the total?

Thanks for your help.

For a QuickReport, it always shows subtotals and grand totals. This has more effect if you have breaks.
