Quick Reports

Have always used a "standard report" with Sesame. In trying out the Quick Report feature I have run into an issue in designing the Q.R. According to the instructions:
"The first column shows which layout elements have been selected to be included in the report and displays an "R" for each selected element."
The elements I choose will not display an "R", only an arrow
in the first column. When I choose Run ---HTML preview nothing is displayed. I do get a result when I choose Print Preview, with all elements displayed. I prefer the HTML option only because I can edit it with Word.
Is it possible something was not setup correctly when Sesame was installed?
Any suggestions??

Hello Peter,

The R was changed to an arrow in a later version of Sesame, so it sounds like you have the report set up correctly.

I have not heard of it displaying nothing in HTML mode but showing correctly in Print Only mode. Can you perhaps save the Quick Report spec and send the DB and DAT files to support@lantica.com so that I can have a look at them and see what is happening?

Hello Peter,

After looking at the output of the HTMl Quick report I figured out your problem. The HTML Quick reports pick up the font color, among other properties, from the elements you have chosen to display on the report. The font color of the elements that are not showing in the report is White, same as the background color. The data is there, you just can't see it as it is White on White.
