VPN clients timing out

I have two folks in a remote office who are now connecting to our server via VPN.   Works great, as I've mentioned before.  However, if they leave Sesame running but stop using it for a while (length of time is undetermined as of yet) their clients disconnect from the server.  Is this timeout something that Sesame controls, or does it have something to do with my network?  Thank you for your help.

Sesame never tries to disconnect unless specifically told to.
